I’ve wanted to have a health/fitness/healthy recipe blog for years now, and I’m finally making that happen. I have a few different goals that I want to accomplish with my blog.
Be a Resource
Primarily, I want it to be a resource to folks who are having trouble with some aspect (or maybe many aspects) of their fitness journey.
Maybe you don’t know what to do in the gym. Maybe you’re confused by all the fitness myths floating around out there. Maybe you’re having a hard time making exercise and healthy eating a regular part of your life.
Whatever you’re trying to figure out, I hope I can help to answer your questions — or point you in the direction of people who can.
I don’t know everything about health and fitness, nor will I ever claim to. I do know quite a bit, though, most of it from my own trial and error, and I want to be someone to whom you can turn when you’re not sure what to do next.
I also want to help you see that you can make fitness a part of your life. So many of us are convinced that we’re too busy, too old, too broke, or too out of shape to make a change. I want to convince you that the opposite is true.
I’m here to share simple fitness tips, help you become more mindful with regards to your fitness journey, and teach you that health and fitness are attainable to everyone, as long as you go about it the right way.
Cut Through the Bullshit
Finally, I want to use this blog to help people avoid making the same mistakes I made when I began my own fitness journey. I had no idea where to begin and put blind faith in influencers with little-to-no credentials. As a result, I fell victim to a lot of dogma and misinformation. I don’t want you to do the same thing.
I promise that the information I share on this blog will be evidence-based and backed by other professionals and industry leaders. I’ll never talk about fad diets or quick fixes (unless it’s to talk about why you shouldn’t be falling for them), and I promise to always keep it real.
